Question : Outlook error: The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

I've been getting this message today when I send an email to a yahoo address.  both have worked recently.

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

      AlbertXXX ([email protected]) on 3/25/2008 12:01 PM
            550 5.1.1 unknown or illegal alias: [email protected]

Is it me or Yahoo or what?  all Outlook settings are in order and test out.

Send from another email service like Gmail or another email client like Thunderbird. Then you will know if the problem is Oulook or Yahoo.

I believe the problem is Yahoo.  The address could be locked or is a wrong address. Make sure you have the correct address of the recipient, and not an alias.  Contact the recipient by another means and get the correct address.
