Question : Site Promotion/SEO/PPP/Adwords sales proposal

Would like to query the experts....

Am planning on offering Site promotion/seo/pp/adwords management to my client.  He his currently spending beaucoup bucks annually on adwords himself in google and overture, but I want to approach him with a proposal of taking over his campaign as he is a white collar guy and has better things to do and probably isn't doing the best he can with his money.

How do you guys offer your site promotion services?  Is it incentive based (I get paid on how high I keep you on the rankings?).  Is it a straight percentage (10% of all Site promotion dollars, I keep)?  Or is it a set fee (I charge $500 a month, whether you send $1 or $10000 for adwords)?....or the almight combination.

What do you guys do?  Points for my friends, and beer for my horses!

In general it is a fixed hourly rate with monthly billing but everyone has to be flexible with clients :)

In this particular case you could work out how many hours it would take for you to manage his PPC campaigns and arrive at a monthly fee you would be very happy with. Explain to him that if the campaign spend grows so will the number of hours you spend on it and visa versa. It sounds like he doesn't have ROI tracking (which you will have I assume) so you can offer to provide monthly reports showing how wise he was/is to employ you to manage his PPC :)
