Question : How to connect to MS Sql Server 2000 using native connection

Hello,

This seems to be a simple question but I can't find any topic of this in the net.

I'm  using Crystal Report 10.  I am used to using ODBC connection since 8.5.  But our Seagate admin adviced me against using ODBC and instead use the native drivers.

Can somebody help me the procedures to use native drivers or point me to some articles to read.

Hi MsFox,

 Yes use the OLEDB (ADO) connect instead, this means that your not tied to having setting up the ODBC drivers on the machines all the time.
