Question : Attaching a PDF file to a mail merge document

I have a Word Document that I create and do a mail merge to email that I need to send to several hundred people and need to attach a pdf file to the email when it goes out.  Is there a way of doing this in a standard mail merge in Word?  I have tried with Inser File and Insert Object, but nothing seems to work so far.
