Question : Yahoo e-mail from some users do not come through

Hi,

We have someone from Yahoo trying to send people within our company some e-mail and it never makes it through.  The users can e-mail her Yahoo account just fine, but she can't send mail to them.  I used my own Yahoo account to send a test message from webmail and that e-mail makes it through just fine.   We are using Exchange 2003 on a windows 2003 machine.  I have added the e-mail address to the exchange whitelist and our spam filter whitelist with no luck.  The NDR message she is receiving is:

She will also sometimes receive the error "Message expired for domain domain.com" instead of the above.  No one else is having any problems e-mailing this domain.  Is this a problem with Yahoo?

Thank you

Answer : Yahoo e-mail from some users do not come through

Unfortunately No !

See the Yahoo Server on which her account is and the SMTP Server that Yahoo Server might be using is unable to resolve the MX record for your domain. Atleast this is what I can gather from the Logs. It would be really difficult to get details.

Else you send her e mail and ask her to send back (maybe to ur other ayhoo id) the header information. Also ask her to send a mail from her account to your hotmail account, so that you can see header information to find out what SMTP server is in use and then from the IP info, you can atleast see which zone it was and then search for any open DNS servers in that zone to see if they also are unable to resolve

Hope this helps

Tanks
