Question : Managing Exchange 2003 Journaling
I have enabled standard journaling in my Exchange 2003 environment. I assigned a dedicated Exchange Server 2003 for it. It works fine, however after one weeks the journaling mailbox has grown to ~1.5 GB. What is the maximum size that is allowed in a single mailbox?
Would appreciate if anyone can share their best practice of managing the journaling mailbox.
Answer : Managing Exchange 2003 Journaling
I always recommend a third party application to manage the journaling mailbox. It will then remove the items and store them in its own database.
GFI Mail Archiver is the one that I have deployed in a number of sites. It is SQL backed and works very well.
