Question : Entourage 2008  Secure Connection Warning

Thanks in advance for any assistance, as I will try to be as clear as possible (my experience in this topic is limited).   Currently have an Exchange 2007 server setup for OWA with SSL - seeing the following message when Entourage 2008 clients connect:

"Unable to establish a secure connection to myservername.com because the server name or IP address does not match the name or IP address on the server's certificate.

Please note that entourage connects perfectly, and works perfectly in every way.  I've double checked all settings, have my legacy virtual directories connected in Exchange 2007.  It appears that the sync in Entourage actually starts before this warning appears - and when hitting continue/cancel, you can work without issue.   As far as I know, the certificate is properly installed in the keychain, so I'm curious if it is a networking issue due to the difference in my AD Domain and external domain.  To clarify (example):

company: smith jones & barney
windows AD domain: smithjones.com
website: smb.com
OWA : https://mail.smb.com/owa

does Entourage struggle with the difference between smithjones.com and the certificate using mail.smb.com?  In the error/warning, it references myservername.smithjones.com.

Is there a way to turn this off, trust it, or avoid such hassle when it is obviously connecting through SSL properly?

Thanks again.

Answer : Entourage 2008  Secure Connection Warning

Solved!  This problem is actually caused by items I was not aware of in Exchange 2007.  It seems this was all related to how Entourage  '08 (and Outlook '07) work with Exchange '07, as part of the autodiscover configuration.

I had to run the Exchange '07 Set-ClientAccessServer - Identity command in exchange powershell so that it would match my external domain & certificate (mail.sjb.com).

Thanks for you input.
