Question : User Constantly Getting Dupe Calendar Items, Missing Items and Other Issues with Scheduled Events
|
|
So here is the quick rundown:
Exchange Server 2003 (SP2) on Small Business Server Outlook 2003 on Terminal Server Outlook 2003 on Laptop Outlook 2007 on Workstation BlackBerry Enterprise Server
Situation:
I have a client who plays a very important role within her organization and relies heavily on her Outlook contacts and calendar items to work efficiently and log correspondences. She is constantly calling saying that appointments times are changing, contacts and scheduled tasks are coming up with duplicates and sometimes with multiple day events they will shift over a couple days from when they were first assigned or accepted. Sometimes months of events just dissappear!
How she access email:
She accessing email from her workstation using Outlook 2007 (not in cached mode) She accesses email from home using her laptop (Outlook 2003) with a VPN connection back to the office She also accessed email via the Terminal Server (Outlook 2003) when remote To top it all off she is also using a BlackBerry connect to a BES at their location
What I have checked:
All updates and Service Packs have been applied to the Workstation, Laptop and Terminal Server Time Zone is set correctly on Workstation, Laptop, Terminal Server and BlackBerry Nothing in Event Viewer pointing to anything or relevance to this issue THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN TO ANY OTHER USERS!
I think that is about it. I am just hoping someone has seen this before or we can all just throw some ideas around.

Answer : User Constantly Getting Dupe Calendar Items, Missing Items and Other Issues with Scheduled Events

Somehow BlackBerry Desktop Redirector was running on her machine. Once it was removed these issues seemed to have stopped. Don't ask me why/how because as far as I know all it does is forward mail...
