Question : Hide Distribution Group From specific users in the global address list

I have a distribution group in the global address list. I have it set to only accept emails from certain people everyone else gets a NDR.

My question is,  Is there a way to Hide the group from the address list ( i know about the setting in AD) BUT to make it viewable to certain people when they create a new email? So for instance to everyone in AD when they click new email they dont see it, but to say 3 or 4 people in say vip group. they see it.

do you have to create a different address list ?
any help would be very much appreciated.
