Question : Delegation of Exchange mailbox creation

Hi,

I have delegated permissions to a user object in AD to be able to create and modify user accounts in a particular OU. This does not include the right to create an Exchange Mailbox. My question is, where can I delegate access to create an exchange mailbox to this specific user, without granting excessive rights on the mailbox store and what permissions would I need to assign?

We have several Exchange servers, so ideally I would want to do this at the Administrative Group level.

We are running a Windows 2003 AD with Exchange 2003.

Thanks

Answer : Delegation of Exchange mailbox creation

That is what admin groups are for.
Right click on the admin group in ESM and choose Delegate control. Step through the wizard to set the permissions as required.

Simon.
