Question : Need good spam and virus solution for Exchange on SBS 2003
|
|
We have a client that is using Microsoft SBS 2003 running Exchange and they get their email delivered directly to the server (no pop3 connector). I am looking for a good virus and spam solution besides GFI MailEssentials/MailSecurity. Please provide any good and easy to setup solutions that will filter their incoming mail before it is delivered to the exchange mailbox.
The reason for not wanting GFI is that they had a 30 day trial before we took there company service over and I have never got to use this suite. I requested a new trial today and they sent me a key. However, the key installs but still shows that it is expired. I contacted them and they said that it had to be installed on a different machine. Well, since this is the mail server, it is the only server they have. When I let them know this, they told me that when the first trial was installed, it installs into the registry and that no future trials will work. They will not assist me in working around this issue.
Thanks for any suggestions for a new solution or possible fixes for those of you that have had the issue with GFI trials. I have 60 day trial keys for GFI MailEssentials12 and MailSecurity 10. They activiate but immediately say "expired" again. I know they are activating because it went from saying "30 day trial" to "60 day trial".
Thanks!

I install McAfee Groupshield for all of my clients. This is a great solution. It also ties in with McAfee ePo Server for AntiVirus. This is very easy to use. It allows for levels of confidence for Spam filtering, as well as whitelists....
