Question : spin effect

Hi everyone,

In photoshop there's a filter called twirl that has the effect of spinning the colours in a spiral motion.  I'm trying to do something similar in Illustrator but there's no such filter in the effects menu. I've got a radial gradient set on a spiral shape and I'd like this gradient fill to twirl in toward the center.

Does anyone know how I'd pull this off in illustrator?
