We have a Toshiba Satellite Pro that has been acting up lately. I was wondering, first off, if there is a diagnostics area in the Toshiba and where to find. The problems I have been having are.....
1. Windows XP files are missing, causes a BSOD upon startup, try to reinstall files and get two more BSOD's, one saying that the computer is not fully ACPI compliant. So I bypass ACPI temporarily with F7 and try to reinstall files with repair the installation. BSOD occurs now saying that PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. I researched this and it could possibly be a failed memory piece of invalid NTFS structure. Thus the need for the DIAG utility.
2. The ACPI compliance error. Im sure this can probably be fixed with a new BIOS version from Toshiba but I dont have a bootable floppy drive, nor can I get into the OS>>
So i guess I'm open for absolutely any suggestions. Any input is much appreciated. Thanks.
