Question : Auto logout user active a period of inactivity

Hello Experts!
Is there a way to logout a user from an X session or lock the display after a certain amount of time?
Like how in windows...admin's can force a lock when the screen saver comes on....I'd like to be able to do that same thing for my linux boxes.
