Question : Exchange 2007 and Verizon Wireless/Motorola Q
|
|
Hello Experts;
I am on the verge of making a decision to upgrade from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2007 and deploy Motorola Q devices over Verizon Wireless for all our mobile workers.
I am looking for input as to if anyone else is using this combination and how it is working out. The company president is concerned about a couple issues and I want to verify before moving forward.
1) When he replies to a message, when paired with Active Syc and Exchange, will the message indicate that he replied as it does in Outlook? We are using the Verizon Wireless sync service now and it does not.
2) How often does the snyc process occur, can it be scheduled? He is worried that his replies will sit queued until he forced a sync.
3) Does this combination allow access to the GAL?
Any other comments about this setup would be greatly appreciated.

Answer : Exchange 2007 and Verizon Wireless/Motorola Q
|
|
1) Absolutley it will. Replies and forwards on the device will show with the little arrow over the email in Outlook.
2) The sync occurs whenever you want it to. Using Windows Mobile 5/6 and Exchange 2007 you can have it get email as they are sent and received. You can set a schedule on the device to be every 5,10, 15, 30, 60 mins, 2 hours and 4 hours. You can specify different times for peak and off peak send/receive settings and you can specify when the peak and off peak times are.
3) Only Mobile 6 and Exchange 2007. There is no GAL lookup with WM5.
