Question : XP RPC error, and installed the patch

Hey guys,
I found the XP patch, and installed it, I'd say it works, at least my system doesn't restart automatically or give any sort of errors, but I can't connect to the internet now!!
I tried to check some services like the RPC or the Network connections, but they are all working like they used to before it all started.
I reinstalled my modem and tweak my connection settings, all in vain!

please help me, I've ran out of ideas

  Your winsock and/or TCP/IP connection may be corrupt. Here is a script that will reset the two at the same time
