Question : Sybase SQL Data Recovery

A few months ago I needed to get into a SQL database at work but the username / pwd had been lost, I went online and found a brief tutorial showing how to recover the password out of the registry where the database had been installed and working. Now I cant find that website again. Any ideas on how to a sybase SQL DB Password?

That's ASA, yes.

Unless something's changed drastically in the last couple of versions, Sybase themselves say there is no way of recovering or resetting that password. Suggest you contact Sybase Tech Support for confirmation. If I'm right, then from the Sybase perspective there's nothing you can do.

If your application put its own password somewhere you might be able to recover that.
