Question : Nero Vision closes while transcoding

Nero Vision simply closes without any error message while transcoding a video.

I'm trying to burn a DVD out of a .avi file in my hard drive. The problem happens irrespectivelly whether I choose to burn to DVD or to create the compilation in the hard drive. It happens around 10 minutes after the transcodification starts.

The original file, as well as the destination folder are set to my secondary HD (a 500GB disk with plenty of space). Before starting the compilation I kill most of my processes (using EndItAll) so that there are no competition for systems resources.

The problem happens with other original files as well.

The problem is intermittent. There was a day in which I managed to burn a number of DVDs without problem.

I don't think the DVD burner can be blamed since the problem occurs even when I ask to generate the compilation on the hard drive. In anyway, just for info, my DVD drive is a NEC ND-3530A. And the firmware is up to date.
