Question : Unable to open device (read failure)! - Epson CX6600
The Epson Sylus CX6600 printer itself is working fine - I can print to it from a PC via the wireless network. About a month ago our two, very different Mac computers became unable to print to the CX6600. They both get "Unable to open device (read failure)!" - it then goes into Pause mode and the print job registers as Stopped. I have tried deleting the printer completely and have downloaded and installed the latest printer driver for a Mac from the Epson Support site. This driver says Connecting and Printing but nothing ever happens. We have tried plugging the printer directly into one of the Mac's via USB and get the same result. Any suggestions?
