Question : Exchange Server 2003 - Status - "In Maintenance Mode"

My Exchange 2003 was not sending/receiving mail this morning.  I rebooted the server and mail started flowing again.  When I check the Status within Exchange Server it shows "In Maintenance Mode".  Is that the normal status or should it be something else.

Answer : Exchange Server 2003 - Status - "In Maintenance Mode"

Go to the properties of your exchange server (in system manager) - switch to the Monitoring tab - and uncheck the box labeled 'Disable all monitoring of this server'.

Refresh the monitoring status and it should go back to normal.
