Question : Implementing a VPN connection to a MySql database
Hi team,
I need assistance in implementing a remote VPN connection to vTiger on a MySql database.
We currently have remote access to vTiger using RDP. We log into a local machine and connect to vTiger using FireFox or IE7.
However this means there has to be a client machine on the LAN where the mysql database is located and is then taken over by the remote user.
As we add more remote users we require more local workstations free to connect to the LAN.
Could I get an explanation of how a VPN will work.
I understand a VPN provides a secure tunnel for passing remote web requests to a local machine.
What I don't understand is what I would need to connect say 10 remote users into the MySql database using browser technologies.
Your help is appreciated
Bernard
