Question : Second unknown root user
I'm setting up a new server (vps) on a cloud, it's a centos LAMP, with virtualmin as the control panel.
When I logged into ssh today, and ran top, I noticed that top said there were two users.
I did 'who', and get:
root xvc0 2009-05-01 13:15
root pts/0 2009-05-04 10:37 (c-86-116-123-16.hsd1.tx.c
omcast.net
)
The comcast one is me. The other one has been on for several days I see, and doesn't have an address on it.
Could that be the control panel? Or another program, or me logging on a few days ago and the connect not closing right? What does the 'xvc0' indicate?
Thanks for any guidance on this, Chris
Answer : Second unknown root user
xvc is Xen virtual console, you shouldn't be worried about it, unless you are not using xen :)
