Question : Exchange email problem

Hi


i have a user running outlook 2003 ang getting their email through exchange....all working fine.

today i added another mailbox to be opened by this user (under the "open these additional mailboxes" under more settings)...this mailbox displys perfectly and any mail sent to it is displyed without a problem.


however when i reply to a mail received through the additional account, it will not end.  I get a message deliver failure report back into the users own mailbox wtih the following text....

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

      Subject:     RE: test to info
      Sent:     12/01/2006 15:46

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

      [email protected] on 12/01/2006 15:46
            You do not have permission to send to this recipient.  For assistance, contact your system administrator.
            MSEXCH:MSExchangeIS:/DC=local/DC=domain:SERVER

when i reply to mail sent to the default account, it works fine....

any ideas..

If you have the Post SP3 rollup on the Exchange server then Full Mailbox Access is not enough to send as (it was with Sp3 and previous versions).  You actually need to grant your account send as rights for that user.  To do so:

- Open ADU&C
- Select view, ensure that advanced features is selected
- Find user
- Open properties, go to the security tab
- Add your account, and select allow for "Send As"

You should then get rid of the error, assuming there isn't an explicit deny overriding the new permission setting.
