Question : How to format and reinstall XP without losing 2k on second hard drive

I have XP on drive C:, and 2K on drive D:
I want to format and reinstall XP on drive C:, without having to reinstall 2K on drive D:
(I have an Oracle installation on 2K that took a week to install)
How do I do this ?

Assuming they are both physical disks, and you don't alter the partition tables during the process, it should work just fine.

A little precaution that I would reccomend before you do attempt to perform this procedure:

Create a Windows 2000 Emergency Repair Disk. This will help you recover your Win2k installation in case anything should fail...

Could you also briefly outline what you mean by "refused to boot," just so that we can be sure this problem will not re-occur...
