Question : Email address and display name convention

Under Organization Configuration --> Hub Transport --> Email Address Policies.

If I use the alias as email address, the display name for Outlook and OWA is also displayed as alias format. eg. John Smith with alias (smithj) will use "smithj" as out the email address and display name in Outlook / OWA.

Is there any way to use for example, use alias email address ([email protected]) but display the Full name (John Smith) under Outlook and OWA ??

Answer : Email address and display name convention

By default, when you enter the users full name during the creation of the account and the display name field shows their full names, any outgoing email will show their full name and not the alias.
