Question : Old attachments will not open, And those that do are jumbled text

I have a exchange server running on windows 2000 server sp4,  After moving a set of mail boxes from one server to another problems occoured.

Recently all old mails with attachments can not be opened. Well to say the mail can be opened but the attachments open as jumbled up text or fail to open at all. Sometimes they say the operation failed when trying to open the files.

I have enclosed a screen shot of the attachments and the jumbled text .


Also , i am trying to connect people to the exchange via outlook 2003 , Some accouts now fail to connect and do not work.

This is probably a database issue... what happens if a mailbox is moved back?

does the attachment open?

What is the version of exchange, provide more info on your environment.
