Question : Ghost 12 - Cloning and Restoring

Hi,

Got a couple of questions regarding Ghost 12.

1. Can the full computer image creating using v12 be restored to either another machine or indeed the same machine with a new HD (say if the old one failed). I'm sure older versions allowed this.

2. Ghost creates a restore point.  I then use the machine for a while, maybe add some new software, change some files etc.  If I get Ghost to restore to that machine's last restore point, will the machine look like it did at the restore point (in other words, is it suitable for rolling a training machine back to the point before a training session?)

Thanks
SF

Answer : Ghost 12 - Cloning and Restoring

Newer or older version still have issue with different hardware configuration (HAL). You will see a lot of issue if you try image on other system which has different hardware. Unless, you use sysprep, universal image for multiple system types. This will involve a lot of job to be done.

System Restore point or Ghost restore point will basically act same procedure. When you use system restore to restore back to sometime you know system works best, and eliminate junks or error recently happens, it will help that way.
