Question : VMWARE configuration
I have 3 dell powervault 220s and I am going to set one up connected to two different servers. I will then setup vmware server on the first server with all the phisical servers converted to vms, then the second server will be a backup server and then the other pwervault will sync drives so if there is a hardware failure i can plug them in thoughts?

What you're proposing will work - but beware of shifting drives between PV220S's, or PV220S's between RAID controllers. The first thing I'd do is work through the servers and make sure that the server BIOS and ESM (I'm assuming that they're Dell boxes) firmware are at the latest revisions. Update the PERC drivers to the latest revision in the server OS, then update the RAID controller firmware to the latest - this may be a two-step process depending on how old the controllers are. Next is install the latest revision on Dell OpenManage Array Manager (although I believe the name has changed), then install any firmware updates for the PV220S, and you should be OK.
Having said all that, the PV220S has been known to be... troublesome at times. Make sure you take regular backups.
