Question : How to make changes and implement group policy

Hey guys,

I have been asked to implement some changes to group policy and Im frightened to do it. I have very little and let me stress very little experience with GPO's and I know how powerful they are. They are aksing me to implement a password policy change of 6 months, lockout policy after 3 failed attempts, and a minimum password of 6 characters. Any assitance on how to do this, test it, and implement WOULD BE GREAT!!! Thank you for all your help!

The biggest thing you need to understand is the password policy is actually applied to the Domain Controllers, so any account located in that Domain will inherit those policies. If you have certain users that you want tougher restrictions or lesser, then the only way to do this in AD is to have a Sub Domain with it's own set of policies.
