Question : cant open add/remove programs
|
|
i was uninstalling some of the programs and by accident apparently unsinstalled one of the win2k operating files. now, i cant open add/remove programs icon, click on sublinks in webpages, lost the copy/paste/drag function and have numerous other anomalities.
i put the win2k cd and rebooted to run repair but when i try to do that it says "cant detect any hard drives" or such. i had the disk in raid so i tried doing this procedure w/ and w/o raid configuration----same results. i boot regularly and everything is OK except those few quirks from first paragraph. i also ran norton antivirus and towards the end of scan it told me that im missing some of the win2k files and that i should place a win2k cd(so i did) and it just opened win2k setup window.
How do I install those accidently deleted files without doing the fresh win2k install. help the n00b.
thanks.
