Question : Error in Windows XP
|
|
I received the following 3 errors in Event Viewer in Windows XP:
"Application Error" Faulting application , version 0.0.0.0, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00000000.
"Application Hang" Hanging application ccApp.exe, version 103.5.1.9, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000
"Application Hang" Hanging application DrgToDsc.exe, version 7.1.0.217, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.
Why does this happen? It is not happening currently.

Answer : Error in Windows XP

The second one is Symantec Antivirus crashing, and the third is Drag to Disk (CD recording software I believe?). The first one doesn't have the app name, so no idea what crashed!
A log is recorded when you either end an application using Task Manager due to it being unresponsive, or Windows ends it for the same reason (or it crashes).
In my experience, there will always be a handful of these dotted in event logs - so long as there is nothing happening with any regularity I wouldn't be overly concerned.
