Question : When Using Acrobat 9 Pro Extended to Create PDFs from Word 2007 my Images have Unwanted Borders

Hello,

I need help with a very frustrating problem.  I created a 20 page report in MS Word 2007 that has quite a few tables and charts in it.  The charts were created in Excel 2007 and then imported into Word as images.  The charts in the MS Word file do not have any borders, they have been resized maintaining the original image proportions, and are not cropped in any way.

When I create a PDF from Word, the images have light blue/gray borders around them,  The borders vary from image to image.  Some images have borders on all 4 sides while others have borders on just 2 sides.  I checked and the images are not cropped.  I went into Adobe and set the resolution to 1200 dpi and image quality to "maximum".  The unwanted borders are still there.

Is there some setting that I am missing?  I could not find any answers on Adobe's forum.

THANKS!!!!

MrChip2

Is there a way to boost the resolution using the SaveAs to get sharper images?
Honestly I don't know. I have not used either as I do most of my work in Acrobat and use O2k... I suppose if there are only these two options and there is no further setting behind the options button, the answer is no...

Will I still be able to open the PDF in Acrobat and attach security levels to prevent modifications, etc.?
Yes, this is not affected by how the PDF was generated.
