Question : HP Thin Client Configuration Questions
This is a question specific to HP thin clients. I have been working with a network of 40 embedded CE Thin Clients from Computer Labs. We run RDP to Windows 2003 Terminal servers. We recently purchased an HP t5720 with XPe for evaluation. I guess I was naive in that I didn't expect the configuration to be totally different. I am having difficulty performing the most basic functions. The system shipped with basically no system documentation. I only need to be able to: 1-Change from DHCP to static IP 2-Remove some unncessary software that shipped on the system (MS Messenger, citrix client, a firewall product) 3- Customize desktop to show My Computer and change wallpaper. .. and of course, commit the changes. I'm wasting a lot of time on something that should be fairly simple. If someone out there has experience with these HP's I would appreciate a few pointers.

This will be different for each manufacturer, and maybe each device, but you will need to log in to the device as administrator to make changes, and when you get it just right, log out and use the user login credentials. The user should see it as the administrator set it up. I ran the same traps a while back on a XPe TC I was evaluating.
