Question : Ramdom User Profile Corruption Upon Login.

Most of our network users have roaming profiles because they need to logon to multiple PC's in the domain and retain their desktop, document and printers settings. When our network was comprised of Windows 2003 DCs, Windows NT file and print servers and Windows 2000 pro clients, the roaming profiles worked just fine.

Now we have migrated all users home folders from NT file servers to Windows 2003 files servers and we also have a mixture of Windows 2000Pro and XP client PCs.

Now when users login to the domain they randomly get the following message:

Windows cannot load your profile because it may be corrupted. Contact your administrator.

The normal fix for this is to have the user logout, delete their roaming profile from the server, then have the user log back in. This will recreate their roaming profile and usually will start working again.

However this keeps happening over and over again with different users and on occasion with the same users.

Any Suggestions for the problem would be greatly appreciated!

Answer : Ramdom User Profile Corruption Upon Login.

What Anti-virus product are you using on the User's workstations?  This is a known issue for some versions of Symantec.  Also, I've had problems like that when the User's C: drive gets filled up.
