Question : Keyboard probs in DOS (Alt key pseudo-stuck)

We've experienced a problem with a number of clients where from time to time their keyboard appears locked while running a DOS app. If you hit Tab or Enter, however, Windows responds as if the Alt key was held down -- the app itself doesn't use any ALT key combinations so it appears hung up.

The ALT key, however, is NOT physically stuck. We've even seen this happen in the DOS window. I don't think this is the DOS app acting up as it only happens on more recent Win '95 boxes (installed since March or April) and doesn't happen on any Win 3.1 or DOS machines.

The only reliable way to get around this is to restart Windows -- restarting the app doesn't work, the problem is persistent.

Any ideas or suggestions as to how we might fix this?

Thanks!

Answer : Keyboard probs in DOS (Alt key pseudo-stuck)

try to change brand of keyboard
see if other keyboards do the same thing.
if it those then go in the properties of the dos icon
and look if the keyboard win95 hot-key are checked in the dos app.
if still dosen't work then you dos app as a bug.
