Question : Exchange 2007 - users no longer receive Delivery Status Notification (Relay) when sending messages with delivery receipt to external addresses
We have just migrated our e-mail to a new Exchange 2007 server from 2003.
On Exchange 2003 if a local user sent an e-mail from outlook, with the "delivery receipt" option set to an external recipient then the sender received a Delivery Status Notification (Relay) message saying that the messages to the extrnal address(es) had been relayed by exchange to the internet.
In exchange 2007 this no longer occurs
read receipts to external addresses work OK and exchange 2007 server is set to allow outgoing auto-messages etc.
local delivery recipts work fine
I undertand this DSN (relay) message is not really much use for anything but some of the users here like it and who am I to argue if it makes them feel good.
I have found various articles outlining how to customise DSN messages of various sorts but none outlining how to enable them?
Any ideas would be much appreciated

No solution found for this unfortunately - have convinced users to do without DSN message
