Question : Converting a batch of CMYK images to jpg

I know that you can set Photoshop up in a way where it can record then automatically perform certain tasks. I've got to convert a number of CMYK images to jpg and though I've gone through the Help menu, I'm thinking my best bet is to confer with the ninjas and get some specific instructions.

How can I set up an automatic script that can convert a batch of CMYK images automatically so I don't have to do it manually one at a time.

Thanks!

Answer : Converting a batch of CMYK images to jpg

Hi Brucegust,

Two steps: (1) record the action; and (2) telll photoshop to do the recorded action on a batch (e.g. folder) of files.
Ad I:
1. Window->Actions to display Actions Pane
2. Open a sample CMYK file
2. Click "New action icon", give it a name, and then do the conversion, and saving step.
3. Click "Stop recording" button.

Ad II.
1. File-> AUtomate -> Batch
All options will be pretty self-explanatory.
