Question : watchguard upgrade 8.3 to 9.0

I seem to recall a tech mentioned a way to upgrade from 8.3 to 9.0 without having to reboot into safe mode and flash the whole firebox.

if there is such a method please let me know, because i'd like to try that for fastest solution. i'd keep collecting logs for you in that case too, just to be safe.

There is nothing called safe mode for WG fireboxes. You would always need to save new flash image when upgrading software. The procedure is:
Install new software;
Open policy manager;
Save to firebox and flash new image [it is always adviced to keep a backup of your configuration and create a backup of your current firebox flash image so you can recover in case or problems]
After reboot FB is upgraded to new software.
