Question : Attachments open REALLY slow

Over the past two months, Outlook has been getting really slow when opening attachments.  It takes about 60 sec for an attachment to open.  I have disabled all the plug-ins, disabled Norton, and uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook to no avail.  The workstations are XP connected to a SBS server.  The are using pop e-mail though, not Exchange.  I am not thinking that it is an issue with the host because the opening of attachments is done locally, correct?  Is there anything else that I can try. People are starting the scream  and I just really want to get this resolved.

The Outlook folder where attachment opens may be full. Clear the files from Outlook cache folder OLKxx.  This folder is difficult to access. Here is a way to access the folder and files

In Vista, the Secure Temp folder is located at C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Temporary Internet Files\Content.Outlook\X30MWG3N
