Question : TS Licensing Issue- 2003 server

I tried to add 10 more user CALs to our licensing server and I get this error when I go through wizard.

"The licensing agreement data provided to Microsoft is not valid.  Check all the information you provided, make any necessary corrections, and then resubmit your request.  If the problem persists, try using a different connection method."

I know the printed license is good.  I suspect my TS Lic. server has an issue.  We recently upgraded our domain from 2000 to 2003.  I know there were some lic differences between the 2.

I check the TS Config settings and it says Licensing is Per User, but in the licensing menu, I see 4 different listings.

- Existing Windows 2000- TS CAL (per device)
- Temp Licenses (has 43 issued)
- Windows Server 2003 - TS Per Device CAL (6 avail/ 4 issued)
- Windows Server 2003 - TS Per USER CAL (not applicable, though I read this is normal for SP1)

I checked registry settings for Per User, Restrict Anon, PolicyAcOn and other things, but I am afraid I have a prob coming.  In the list of temp licenses, I see users about to start timing out.  Any new system that connects seems to take a Device CAL instead of user.  Not sure what to do.

I have not tried to rebuild database, if I can avoid it.  Any suggestions?

Answer : TS Licensing Issue- 2003 server

You need to go all the way through...it asks you to type in I ACCEPT or something like that when you get done.  It is a 2 step process.  Just call in to microsoft on that 888 number and they will walk you through it; I just had the same problem.  I got as far as you but didn't see the other thing I had to do.
