Question : The Citrix SSL Server you have selected is not accepting connections

I am running Metaframe XP on a Windows 2000 server. I kind of inherited this server so I don't know too much about it's history. All I know is users used to be able to connect and run published applications over the web. Currently from the private network everything works fine. When a user tries to run a published app from the internet they get "the citrix SSL Server you have selected is not accepting connections" What i did find when I investigated was that around the same time people complained, the SSL cert had expired. So I renewed it thinking that would take care of the problem. It didn't . Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Answer : The Citrix SSL Server you have selected is not accepting connections

Right, in IIS. The cert you renewed was probably the cert needed for the Secure Gateway which sits in your DMZ to be able to communicate back with the citrix farm in the firewalled subnets. The Secure gateway requires 2 Certificates. One is the private inside one, which you probably renewed for free via your Certificate Authority. The other one you need is the public certificate, which costs money to purchase. I deal alot with this company

If you are unable to track down your SSL Cert provider, You can just go to another one. Check out these guys. All you really need is the 79.95 Instant SSL. They will provide a cert which you import into the IIS of the Secure Gateway. They have a great support area that can walk you through this process.
