Question : 'Recover Deleted Items' greyed out for secondary mailboxes
|
|
I have had the 'recover deleted items' option running for a while now, and it works great for every user, all setup within Exchange 2000. The problem is now that the owner of the company wants to be able to check every users deleted items, and recovery thereof. I have added all the mailboxes to the profile (Outlook Xp) but when you open a secondary mailbox and try to recover the deleted items this option is greyed out!
Does anyone have the solution? The owner does have the necessary permissions to all mailboxes - and i don't really want to have to add all these mailboxes as new profiles. I'm assuming it has something to do with primary mailbox functions....??
Can anyone help??

This isn't really possible, unless you create a profile for each user he wants to access in Outlook on his desktop PC. You'd then have to give him full mailbox access.
A better solution for you to explore, is message journaling. It keeps a copy of every message sent and received in a mailbox store, by sending a copy to another mailbox. If you have the space, this should be considered, instead of outlook profiles.
