Question : OpenSSL Client/Server Certificates

I need to know the exact steps (in detail) for generating all necessary certificates for IIS 5.  I need these instructions for use with OpenSSL.  I have OpenSSL (on Windows) installed and working but don't know the steps to generate the server/client certificates.  I want the client certificate to be required in IIS.
