Question : Everything's Gone!
|
|
Hi all,
Last week I posted an issue related to unknown passwords being assigned to Admin & all user accounts in WinXP - see link below:
http://www.experts-exchange.com/Operating_Systems/WinXP/Q_21090923.html
As you can see, using ERD Commander to perform a system restore allowed me to get back into the machine. However, while it boots just fine, everything (and I mean everything) inside My Docs on all accounts is empty. While MS Office is still installed, the .pst files seem to have vanished as well. When I performed the System Restore, I simply chose a restore point 5 days prior. All apps and files, according to the customer, were there prior to getting locked out of the laptop. Can someone tell me why this might have happened? Even using Stellar Phoenix data recovery yielded no hope. I'm stumpt. Ideas?
thanks in advance.

the data which it has moved to another place is purely called a USER Personal DATA.... means everything which a user wants to save has been moved by it.... i think its an extra feature of it to Save the User Data in another safe place in case if Windows decide to delete this user data ;-)
