Question : Exchange inter office calendar sharing
|
|
We are in the process of integrating with another company. We use Exchange 2003 and they are using Exchange 2007. Without migrating AD accounts and sucking in their mail, what Microsoft tools or third party tools can be used so that we can link the inter-org calendars? We need to be able to see the new company's calendars (at least to the point of free-busy) and vice-versa.
There would be a site to site VPN set up but the calendar is may be the difference between a VPN tunnel or a full fledged integration. Thank you in advance for the advice.

I think I have found the answer to the original question. The question was about finding a tool that would let you connect Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2007 so that they can share GALs, contacts and any other info such as Free/Busy.
I came across a tool called Quest Collaboration Suite that seems to do exactly this for our situation. It seems geared towards companies that are merging or need to share Exchange information but do not want to set up trusts, VPN tunnels, etc.
The one set back is that once you implement it, if you then have to do a full integration, this tool does not really help in that aspect at all. Of course, Quest has another tool called Migration Manager for Exchange and AD that does, but requires a professional services engagement.
Anyway, please close the question and refund the points if possible or award them to mattee76, though I did not really get the answer from the only person who gave it a go. Thanks anyway as it did force me to look elsewhere for the answer.
