Question : Problem receiving SPAM that looks like it comes from me
|
|
For about the last two months I have been receiving emails that are addressed as if they came from me. Outlook doesn't filter them and send them to the junk email box. The all seem to have almost the same subject line "October 70% Off" "October 72% Off" and now we are in November so there "November 70% Off" I took a screenshot of the problem. I looked at the header of each of the emails today and this is what I found there for each..

The emails look like they are coming from an outside source but it sure doesn't look like it in Outlook. I also get every once in awhile get a system rejection message like I had sent the email myself.

The server ex-srv2 server is mine that is listed on the images.
Any help would be greatly appreciated on this issue.
Thanks in advance.

Hello Zantis,
A spammer has spoofed your address and putting it on From field. So if another server rejects the spam email, you get the return email. You cannot do much about it.
Spammer use alphabetical search to find your address. "Jon" is not hard to find.
You can report the offender to FTC. www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/online/inbox.shtm
Hope this helps! war1
