Question : Man, I feel stupid! - Installing Windows 2003 Standard x64, disk 2????

Hey everyone,

I'm installing Windows Standard Server 2003 x64 on some HP boxes with the AMD Opterons.  I get through the installation and it takes me into Windows for the first time.  The strange part is, it's asking for disk 2 to continue the setup.  I don't have a second disk.  Here's what I got in my media pack:

Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition - Windows Rights Management Services 1.0 w/ SP1
Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition w/ SP1 x32
Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition w/ SP1 x64

Here's the exact message:

Windows Setup

Windows Setup is not complete.  We recommend that you continue Setup so that you can install the additional components that are available in this version of the Windows Server operating system.

For more information about the new components, see the documentation on Windows Server CD 2.

To continue Setup, insert Windows Server CD 2, or specify the location where the Windows Server CD 2 files are stored, and then click OK.

So did I just get the wrong media pack or lose it somewhere on my mess of a desk?  GEEZ!

Thanks,
Cory

Answer : Man, I feel stupid! - Installing Windows 2003 Standard x64, disk 2????

Strange, I've checked my TechNet disks & Windows 2003 SP1 (single disk version) is clearly labeled May 2005 & although I don't have the R2 pack with me I don't remember getting it much before the end of last year.  Either because Disk One is fundamentally the same software M$ haven't changed the labeling or I'm off-beam here.

Incidentally found this while looking for R2's release details, no solution but same sounding problem
