Question : No Windows volume control icon in system tray
My volume control icon suddenly disappeared from my system tray and the I noticed that when I click on 'C:\WINDOWS\SNDVOL32.EXE', nothing happens. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the volume control but the same problem continued until I manually copied the program sndvol32 from elsewhere into the correct path and suddenly everything started working. Now I want to add the volume control icon to the system tray and the question is how do I do that?

Go to the Control Panel settings and click on the Multimedia icon. If everything is working, there should be a check box there saying something like "show volume icon in tray".
