Question : Domain Administrator Login Problem with Vista.

I have just purchased my first windows vista machine, I am using the business edition. I have a domain run on a windows small business server 2003 machine.

How can I choose to login to the vista machine with the domain administrators account, I try to ad the account but it tells me that the username administrator is already in use.

I add ed a user account when I set the machine up , and I can see the domain from that login, I can also browse the domain from that login. but I would like to log in using the administrator login, as I collect lots of email under that login and my user documents are are held on the server in the administrators my documents folder.

Answer : Domain Administrator Login Problem with Vista.

I think you havent joined this computer into your domain. Do the following

1. Under Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings, click Change settings.
2. From the System Properties dialog box, click Change.
3. In the Computer Name Changes dialog box, type the computer name in Computer name. Click Domain and type the Active Directory domain name.
4. Click OK.
5. When prompted, type your domain name and password to join the computer to the domain.
6. Restart the computer when prompted.
