Question : Remote Device Manger without Admin rights

We disallow the use of RAS in our domain. If a RAS event appears in a log it's cause for concern. One of the first escalated measures we perform is to check if there is a modem installed on the server. Normally we call the sys admin at the location and ask them. However, it would be much easier to add the device manager of the server in question to a mmc console. Since I do not have admin rights on the server, it is giving me an access denied error. Is there a way to grant a read only privelage to a group for viewing device manager on a server? If not, is there a tool I could use or software I could buy?

server operators should give you enough rights to view those consoles - it will always be read only though even with domain admin rights from a remote machine
